How will my fundraising help?
MS Society SA & NT is the leading provider in South Australia and Northern Territory of reliable information, allied health and social supports to minimise the impact of multiple sclerosis and other neurological conditions.
All money raised through the MS Mighty Swim will help us empower people with MS to live well with services like nursing, continence support, physiotherapy, occupational therapy and social support. We also help people get active in the community with peer support and community events/programs.
There is currently no known cause or cure for multiple sclerosis, however, doctors and scientists are making discoveries every day. We are passionate about supporting research into the cause, cure and treatment of MS.
“The MS Society provide a nursing option, which is invaluable to those of us with MS. There are times when you just need a little bit of advice on the phone and there are times that you actually need a lot more emotional support and help through what’s going on in your life at the time. And the MS nurses are always there for that support on the end of the phone.”

“The whole physiotherapy team has the knowledge. They taught me how to walk differently; they taught me how to use the stairs better. The benefits go well beyond the hour session.”
